Tuesday, October 29, 2019

at no cost to them.


 Seniors who did not opt out by the required deadline are registered to take this exam.

Governor's Schools 2020 - Applications are available - Deadline is Friday, November 8

Applications for the 2020 TN Governor's School programs are now available.  MHS can nominate high-achieving 10th and 11th grade students who are in the top 5-10% of their graduation cohort for these competitive, academic summer programs.  Guidance counselors will host a Governor’s School interest meeting in the Ed Harmon Room, this Friday, October 18 during the morning break.  The MHS deadline for Governor’s School application packets is Friday, November 8. Late submissions will not be considered for Governor’s School nominations.

Homecoming Dance - get your discounted tickets now!

TICKETS:   $12 now or $15 at the door


Students!  Please plan to attend the 1st Annual MHS Homecoming Dance sponsored by the Key Club!  The dance will be held after the football game on Friday, October 25th, from 9:30-11:30 PM in the Aux Gym.  Tickets are on sale now for $12  in the cafeteria during lunch.  They will be $15 at the door.  Food and drinks will be provided.  See any Key Club Member for details or Mrs. Sobota in Room 360.

An anonymous donor has purchased tickets to the homecoming dance for the ENTIRE starting offensive line. Offensive linemen please go to Mrs. Sobota's room, 360, to collect your free ticket! Ladies, better get your dance tickets soon, so these football hunks don't have to dance alone!

There are lots of fun activities planned including the Carnival sponsored by Student Council on Friday and a dance after the game sponsored by Key Club.


The Dress Up days are:


Marvel Monday – dress like your favorite Marvel character or wear Marvel gear.


Rebel Redneck Tuesday – Grab your Camo and your Flannel


Walt Disney Wednesday – Dress as your favorite Disney character or wear Mickey gear.


That 70s Thursday – It’s groovy with bell bottoms and tye-dye.

Medic Blood Drive

Students and Teachers!  Give the gift of life and sign up to donate blood at the Medic Blood Drive. Forms are available at the table during lunch today through TuesdayParent permission forms are not required for students that are 17 and older.  Those that donate will get a free t-shirt as well as be eligible for free movie passes and papa john's pizza gift cards
