NCAA Eligibility Center Registration
Interested Juniors and Seniors need to register on-line:  www.ncaa.org   (MHS code is 431300)

After completing the registration, the student should come to the guidance office and schedule a meeting with Jennifer Abernathy to review their transcript, and fill out a sample Division I or Division II worksheet.  Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting or see Mrs. Abernathy any time they have questions or concerns about initial freshman eligibility.

When Should I Register?

• Anytime after your sophomore year  (initial transcript cannot be sent prior until after the junior year)

Who Should Register?

• Since there is a fee (currently $80.00), students should be certain that playing a sport at a Division I or Division II school is a realistic goal. The coach of your high school sport will have some valuable insight into your college possibilities and readiness. Maryville High School coaches cannot guarantee scholarships for any student athlete. College recruitment is a big business and a challenging one for college coaches. It is not an absolute science, and every year some "blue chippers" end up not playing, and some "walk on's" lead their team to a championship. Good luck in your endeavors!
