PSAT
WHAT IS IT?
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a standardized test from the College Board. Taken as a 10th grader, the test functions as a practice for students to experience college entrance exams. 11th graders can complete the PSAT/NMSQT test to potentially qualify for National Merit Scholarship eligibility.
WHEN, WHERE & COST?
- Wednesday, October 11, 2023
- 7:45am - 12:00pm
- MHS will host the PSAT, and we will announce specific locations closer to test day.
- $25 Registration Fee
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON TEST DAY?
- A fully charged and fully updated device
- Laptop charger!!
- No. 2 pencils and eraser
- Approved calculator (**there will be a calculator within the testing software.)
- Social security number (optional)
- E-mail address (optional)
WHAT IS THE TENTATIVE TIME LINE?
- 7:50-8:00 Arrive at assigned testing location
- 8:00-8:10 Check attendance
- 8:10-8:55 Complete pre-administration activities
- 9:00-10:05 Complete the Reading and Writing Test (64 minutes)
- 10:05-10:15 Break
- 10:15-11:25 Complete the Math Test Writing and Language Test (70 minutes)
- 11:30- 11:47 Collect test materials and dismiss
